VII, 1802; Cordier, Indosinica col. 949; Cox I, 328. - First German edition of the important travel report by the Jesuit Guy Tachard, who was one of the first Europeans to travel Siam. - The most bibliographies do not mention this first German edition, but only the French, Dutch and Italian editions. The report in German about the second journey was published by the same publishing house in 1709. - Title in red and black and with woodcut vignette. - 2 maps on verso and 2 text leaves with library stamp. Clean copy.
